Medical Training Facility

After taking a small break, Larentia headed for the training facilities. Quickly she shunpo'd passed the favourite halls of the Eleventh division and ran down to a smaller hall. Inside there where mostly dummies on beds, with only a few people training their abilities on them.

The dummies where made so that they reacted to Chiyudo, almost like real patients. But an awful lot harder to kill... She thought while walking over to one of them. She want to train her a specific spell. One she read about and learned all of other things, but never had tried before.

This dummy had a purple glow over him, so it was clear to most that he represented a poisoned patient. She held out her hands in front of her, a feet or so above the dummy. "White honor, red blood, black corruption." She started, trying to keep her concentration. "Open your hara and show us the purity. Chiyudo #47 Black Gut."

The orb that resulted was so small, it was pitiful and she could hear someone repress a laugh. Larentia bit her lip and dispelled the kido, but was ready for another try.

She took a few moments to regain her concentration and let some of the tension in her body go. Most people don't get this on their first try... She told herself, while placing here hands in the same position again.

"White honor, red blood, black corruption." Larentia said, while trying not to concentrate on the sounds around her. "Open your hara and show us the purity. Chiyudo #47 Black Gut." The orb was slightly bigger, but it still wasn't around the size it was supposed to be.

Still, she tried to extract some of the poison. Slowly placing her hands on the abdomen of the dummy, she concentrated on the task at hand. It didn't take that long before the orb couldn't handle much more and it had to be dispelled.

"At this rate, your patient would've died..." A voice said behind her.

She looked over her shoulder, a tall woman with dark hair stood over a dummy. "You need to put more energy into the orb then you expect." The woman continued and smiled at her. "When you think it's enough, count to five. I'm sure it will help."

Larentia nodded, the woman obviously had more experience then her. Her reiatsu alone would have told her that. "Thank you, miss." She looked back at her own dummy.

She placed her hands in the right position and started the incarnation. "White honor, red blood, black corruption." She started, focusing on the orb. "Open your hara and show us the purity." One... Two... Three... Four... And five! "Chiyudo #47 Black Gut."

The orb did appear larger this time and Larentia couldn't help but feel proud. Now that she had the first part down, she had to focus on the other. Carefully, she placed her hands on the belly of the dummy. Closing her eyes and ignoring the sounds around her, she fully concentrated on the poison.

After what felt like only a few moments, Larentia opened her eyes again and looked down at the orb. It was mostly filled and the dummy had started to regain a some-what normal colour again. But a faint purple shade still laid over the dummy.

"That went a lot better didn't it?" She heard the woman ask. Larentia dispelled the orb and turned towards her. "Yes, it did. Thank you so much for your help." She said and gave a polite bow. "It's al right, it's good to help others." The woman answered and smiled.

She nodded and turned back to her own dummy. When you extracted just this last bit, you can get yourself some dinner. She took one more deep breath and started once more.

"White honor, red blood, black corruption. Open your hara and show us the purity. Chiyudo #47 Black Gut." She said, while taking a small break between the last sentence, and the name of the spell. Larentia took no extra time checking if her orb was the right side and placed her hands on the dummy immediately.

When she opened her eyes again, Larentia was exhausted. She dispelled the orb and went to check on her work. She was about to smile when it turned in to a large yawn. I shouldn't do this too often... She told herself while looking down on the dummy.

It's skin now had a normal colour, no traces of purple to be seen. But if it was a real patient, I would've already killed it. She shrugged, luckily for her this wasn't a person. Nor a life or death situation. But one day it will be and then I'll be ready!

She quickly passed the other training halls with a few shunpo's before heading to the barracks of her squad. Pretending to save lives made hungry people. And this particular hungry person could really go for some beans.

When she finished her dinner, Larentia felt a lot better and eventually decided to train a bit more. At this time, there where hardly any others around the training halls, but she preferred to be safe. Sometimes people hang around at this hour, just looking for trouble.

But eventually, she made it to the hall she needed. All of the people had left, but she didn't really mind. I just need the dummy's... She decided to train something simple for now, knowing that if she tried Black Gut again she might be someone's next patient.

After finding a dummy covered in small cuts, Larentia prepared her spiritual power. She slowly said the incarnation and placed her hands on one of the cuts. "Chiyudo #1, Numbing Touch." The dummy didn't show any reaction, but that was expected. For a dummy.

She left her hand on top of the cut and started on another incarnation. "Break apart and return, turn and overcome." She started and noticed that the spell was starting to become easier for her. "Unity from division before the sickle moon. Chiyudo #2, Mend." She slowly moved her hand over the cut and watched the edges creep together. After sometime, the wound had closed.

I'll catch some sleep when the dummy is healed. Larentia thought and hoped the lights would still be lit by then. She hated working in the dark, even when she knew nothing was there, it always seemed like the shadows where moving. Larentia shuddered at the thought and quickly started on the incarnation.

"Chiyudo #1, Numbing Touch." She finished and left her hand on the wound a few minutes. It was the required time for real patients. If she got used to using less time on dummy's, she might start do it on real patients too. And she wasn't entirely sure if they would appreciate it.

After the minutes had passed, Larentia started on the next kido. "Break apart and return, turn and overcome. Unity from division before the sickle moon. Chiyudo #2, Mend." Healing was what she preferred to do with her kido and unlike some others, she was actually happy to get accepted in the fourth squad. When the wound finally closed, she smiled to the dummy. 2 down, 8 more to go!

Larentia took a few moments to regain her concentration. It was quite boring to train healing techniques on dummy's. She preferred to see the reactions of people and the dummy's weren't very good at that.

She stretched out her arms before placing them on the next wound. Concentrating her reiatsu in her hands, while she mumbled the incarnation. "Chiyudo #1, Numbing Touch." She pretended that the dummy sighed in relief, even though she knew it didn't.

"Break apart and return, turn and overcome. Unity from division before the sickle moon. Chiyudo #2, Mend." Larentia watched the wound close and let out a yawn. Don't fall asleep... You can do it..

She rubbed her eyes and yawned again, using kido made her even more tired then usual. But it beats cleaning hallways. While repressing a third yawn, she looked outside. It was already dark, but she was sure it couldn't be too late. I came here about an hour ago...

"Chiyudo #1, Numbing Touch." She said after chanting the incarnation. Repetitive training became boring rather fast, but she realized it was necessary if she wanted to get better. Just continue... You work faster when you do it with out thinking.

"Break apart and return, turn and overcome. Unity from division before the sickle moon." She mumbled, after so much chanting the words started to lose meaning. "Chiyudo #2, Mend." She finished up the fourth wound. Half way there...

Larentia could notice her motivation dropping while she looked down on the dummy. Only 4 wounds remained and she wasn't sure if she would go through with her plan. On the other hand, if she kept repeating, she was bound to get better.

Too bad it's so boring...Larentia thought before starting on the incarnation. "Chiyudo #1, Numbing Touch." She sighed. After the anesthetics had been applied, she moved on to the next task.

"Break apart and return, turn and overcome. Unity from division before the sickle moon." She spoke to the dummy, who didn't appear to be interested. "Chiyudo #2, Mend." After closing up the wound, she looked outside again.

Some people where on their way back to the barracks. Most of them where male, or at least, the ones that shouted where. She noticed she was getting tired and rubbed her eyes. Only 3 more... Thank god this is not a real patient.

She quickly said the words. If someone else would hear this it would sound like a madwoman talking... Repressing a laugh at her own thought, she continued with her treatment. "Chiyudo #1, Numbing Touch."

Larentia noticed her hands where starting to shake. She shook her head and tried not to think about it. "Break apart and return, turn and overcome. Unity from division before the sickle moon. Chiyudo #2, Mend." She spoke, in monotone.

Before starting on the next, she stretched out her arms and back. A large yawn slipped out and Larentia couldn't help but giggle when she heard it. She took a few moments to catch her breath and turned her attention to the dummy again.

Only two more cuts left to heal... She thought and sighed. Larentia just wanted to go to sleep, but she was so close. Mumbling the incarnation to the dummy, she got back to work. "Chiyudo #1, Numbing Touch."

Larentia stretched again, before continuing. "Break apart and return, turn and overcome. Unity from division before the sickle moon." She yawned between the sentences, but was pretty sure it wouldn't effect her spell. "Chiyudo #2, Mend."

One down, Laren. Almost there! She smiled to herself, but she wanted to get to bed. Now. But you won't let yourself~ Kiniro sneerd. Hurry up, stupid girl, I'm tired too. She could notice the hidden anger in his voice.

Quiet down.. I'm almost done. I work faster if you just shut your mouth! She quickly placed her hands over the last wound and started chanting the incarnation. "Chiyudo #1, Numbing Touch."

With the anesthetics down, she just needed to close it. Yaaawwwwnnn. Someone without hands works faster. Shut up, stupid piece of metal. I liked you better when you kept silent! She spat back at him, but his reaction was just laughter. You would be even more useless with out me. Now finish, stupid.

She bit her lip at his comments. It was true, if he wasn't there she would never be accepted in the fourth division anyway. "Break apart and return, turn and overcome. Unity from division before the sickle moon." She spoke as fast as she could. "Chiyudo #2, Mend." The wounds slowly closed and Larentia sighed in relief. Happy now..? She thought while making her way back to the barracks.
