Zanpakuto Name: Doku no Sonzai (Poisoned Soul).

Zanpakuto Description: In it’s normal form, Bolt’s zanpakuto is just bigger than a normal Wakizashi, with a hilt shaped like a lightning bolt

Shikai: Upon uttering the command, “Infect, Doku no tamashī!”, the Zan becomes an Odachi with a blade about 4.5 ft long, and is enveloped in a whitish mist. The mist is a poison, and will even infect the wielder. Symptoms include nausea, fever, and when the poison has worked itself in enough the victim will begin vomiting and coughing up blood. There are two special abilities in this form: Sasori no yō ni sasu – Sting like a scorpion. Sword’s edge and tip begin dripping poison and any contacting slashes inject the poison into the bloodstream much faster; and Kakusan byōki no yō na – Spread like a disease. Anybody hit by Doku no tamashi’s poison becomes infectious to surrounding people.

Bankai: Doku no sonzai – “Poisoned Existence”. White mist surrounding sword expands, encompassing entire field (15 ft radius from sword), and will move with the wielder (there is a little obscuring but not enough to be a hindrance). Restraining his power, Bolt can withdraw the mist into the sword. The wielder also gains a protective armor that filters the air he takes in (appearance in sig), as well as the blood to prevent becoming infected himself (but only offers limited physical protection). There are two special abilities: Nō ni kansen suru – Infect the brain. Any who have taken a breadth while in the mist field gains fevered delusions; and Yakubyō o tae gatai - Excruciating Pestilence. Any who’ve at any point in the bankai come into contact with the mist gain the condition of a being at death's door from a terrible disease. The infection will spread more slowly for people with higher stamina, but normal to weaker stamina will begin to feel the effects after 5 posts. The body will feel like it's shutting down, eventually even standing up will be too much of a physical task. They may begin vomiting blood, as organs become damaged from the poison becoming heavily ingrained into the system. The process is slow, but unmistakably painful. In weaker opponents, death can result in as early as 15 agonizing posts; stronger opponents (as in strong in stamina/durability) may resist for longer periods of time. It is important to point out that by leaving the mist field, one can at minimum double the time before it takes effect (meaning frail people can resist for 10 posts at minimum); people with high stamina can further the time before effects even further than before.

SPECIAL NOTE: As of currently, the only ways to recover from the poison are when Bolt leaves shikai/bankai (since it's an extension of his reiatsu), or to force the poison out with superior spiritual pressure. Although any qualified scientist can easily whip up an antidote.

Appearance: As indicated above, Bolt is a rather tall individual. He has brown hair, about ear length and slicked back. His body is muscular, although not as much as his immense strength would indicate (in other words, he doesn’t look like the Incredible Hulk). Also an important thing to note is that Bolt is left-handed.

Personality: Bolt is pretty laid back. Most times, he’s respectful and polite before he knows people. He tends to act more aloof than anything. Although not an asset, Bolt displays some cleverness. But there is another side. When Bolt enters battle, he completely loses himself to bloodlust, caused by urgings from his zanpakuto. He becomes a complete psychotic and does not care who gets in the way (although he will go after all enemies first unless prevented from doing so). This personality works pretty much like a light switch; flips on when the fight starts, and off as soon as it ends, leaving the normal aloof Bolt to suffer any consequences.

Backstory: Before Soul Society, Bolt was unfortunate enough to get lost in the woods, never being found. There are many gaps in his memory before attending the Shinigami Academy, but for some reason it never bothered Bolt enough to look into.

Your bankai is too strong for now. The range is too large, and exposure to the mist mustn't result in immediate delusions. Also clarify the time needed to gain delusions, and how long it takes before a character would die from your second bankai ability.

Plus, if leaving the mist for a period of time, will it allow for recovery as well? is there any way to recover from the poison?
